Twenty more MCP servers, ready in one click
Daneel has always worked with any HTTP or SSE MCP server you point it at.
Paste a URL in Settings → MCP, the extension handles the auth handshake, and the tools are yours. No gatekeeping, no marketplace.
The Featured list is a convenience layer on top of that: a set of respected, well-maintained servers we've verified, with their auth flow and credential prompts pre-configured so you don't have to discover any of it yourself.
The catalog just grew from 16 to 36 presets.
Developer tooling:
- GitHub (issues, PRs, Actions)
- Context7 (library docs)
- Hugging Face (models and datasets)
- Sentry (error monitoring)
- Svelte (official docs and code correction)
- Semgrep (static analysis)
- Microsoft Learn, and Google Developer Knowledge
Travel, hotels, flights, and accommodations:
- Trivago
- LiteAPI
- Kiwi.com
- Skiplagged
Research and open data:
- PubMed biomedical literature
- Data Commons for US federal statistics
- data.gouv.fr for French government data
- GDELT for global news events
Weather:
- World Weather Online has a free tier
- Xweather is the premium option
Infrastructure:
- OVHcloud control plane
- AWS Knowledge docs search
Each preset detects its own auth method, public, OAuth2+PKCE, or API key, and pre-fills the credential form with the right hints.
OAuth consent is handled automatically when needed.
A small interface change
Featured MCP server entries now carry a tags array alongside the primary category.
The UI still filters on category, but tags open the door to multi-facet filtering later. AWS Knowledge also moved from Cloud to Documentation to join Microsoft Learn, Google Developer Knowledge, and Context7. Docs-search tools all live in the same bucket now.
Coming next
A few categories still have gaps:
- open academic papers,
- economic data,
- open maps.
We're watching for quality HTTP/SSE endpoints in those spaces and will fold them in as they appear.
Found a good one?
The URL input in Settings → MCP accepts it directly, no waiting for a featured slot.
